Santa Fe City Northwest has a sense of style all its own, with an eclectic mix of architecture throughout. Established in the 1960’s by builder Allen Stamm, the Casa Solana neighborhood is still a favorite today. Solid construction with Vigas, hardwood floors, fireplaces are just a few of the features that may be included in these homes. Driving along West Alameda, the residences spread out a bit. The landscape includes horse farms, and newly-constructed homes built on larger tracts of land. Interestingly, any left hand turn takes you down to the Santa Fe River, and any right hand turn takes you into the rolling hills above Santa Fe. Some lots in this area of town offer 360 degree views, and possibly beautiful views of the Santa Fe city lights. Santa Fe City Northwest encompasses Zocolo and Santa Fe Estates neighborhoods. This area has the benefit of being in close proximity to downtown, as well as popular shopping options on West Alameda, including the La Montanita Co-Op Food Market, Betterday Coffee, and Valentine’s Restaurant.
